Protecting our Orphans and Vulnerable Children
Unfortunately, with the limited funding we currently have for our protection activities, we have had to limit them to sports, after-school activities and a few awareness protest marches.
We have managed to continue the carpentry / cabinet making entrepreneurs project and will continue this project. This is a very popular project and really targets the very most vulnerable teenagers mostly who have left school and cant get a job, or have any skills that enable them to become entrepreneurs.
Our Social Carers are a critical part of managing the kids in the afternoons and helping them with homework and projects and keeping them safe from gangs and drug dealers.
Addaitional Funding
If we had additional funding we would be able to far better Protection support and services, similar to what we provided in 2015/16.
